Which options are suitable for me?

At PMS we are
struggling to maintain records of production data i.e.  Machine production
counts, rejects, machine down time etc. Our production supervisor takes the
readings manually from all 7 cells. He than enters the data on the excel spread
sheet for further analysis. This process is time consuming and wants to see it
happening   automatically.

 

 

 We have two s4c and 5
IRC5 controllers. Initially I want to test on two IRC5 controllers and than
connect to the remote server which runs webware option on it.  Currently we
don?_Tt have pc software option installed on all 7 controllers.  Is it possible to
run same software options on all robot controllers?

 

My next task is to
control external I/O which should run parallel to the main program there by
maintaining the same cycle time.

I have two option's

 

1: To use multitasking
software option; which is ideally suitable for handling various  tasks in
future.

2: To use PLC?_Ts to
handle monitor different tasks;

 

 

Currently we dont have any of the below option installed below on our controllers

 

1: PC software
 options

2: Multitasking
option

3: FTP
option

4: Suitable PLC?_Ts
compatible on IRC5 and S4C controller and any options needed to connect to a
controller bus

5: webware server and
client software

Any cheap package availabe?

Due to market slowdown
we would like to get cheap and reliable options.

Could I automate all
the above option by using PLC?_Ts so that we can save huge
amount

Or  ABB?_Ts software
options?

     I think it is better to go for a cheap PLC than to think about many options.
