System Configuration grayed out

I am trying to create a new system.  When I get through the steps of creating it, I-start the system, set the robot and positioner in there proper places, I try to get to the "System Configuration" by right clicking on the system listed under the Elements tab and it is grayed out.  How can i fix this?

Hi,

 

There is a message in the Output window telling that the controller is in System Failure state. That is why you cannot open "System Configuration".
