RS3.1 Configuring ServoGun External Axis

Is it possible to configure a Spotweld Servo Gun as an external axis (7th or 8th axis or both)?  I have created a moving Gun in the Kinematic Modeller, however when I try to add the MOC.cfg for the ABB servo motor the VC crashes.
