Is it possible to use robotstudio for a refurbished irb140 with a sc4+ M2000 controller?

    RobotStudio 5 only supports IRC5 and not S4C+. What you can do if you prefer using RS 5.x to program your robot is to setup an IRC5 system for your IRB140 to use for simulation and offline programming in RobotStudio 5.X. Then you can take the created program and load into your S4C+ controller. RAPID is essentially the same between the two controller generations. There might be minor changes for particular instructions, though. You should consult the RAPID manuals for S4C+ and IRC5 to compare the instructions to be sure.
     

    Note that the system parameters (MOC.CFG, SYS.CFG, EIO.CFG, etc.) are not compatible, so you need to edit the IRC5 files to add your system-specific information such I/O signals, baseframe etc. You will only be able to transfer the RAPID back and forth.
