SCREEN DUMP _ FLEXPENDANT

My first question on this forum We have an IRC5 controller with a Flexpendant and wish to get screen dumps off it for training purposes. Has anyone got any ideas on how to do this?

1 - U can use "FlexPendant Viewer" button under RobotStudio - Online tab.
2 - Or u can connect to console port using with HyperTerminal and write

                           fpcmd "-as"
   
     that command create a screenshot file under
amdisk.

Thanks Charon. We decided to use the RobotStudio method. RobotStudio connects to the controller OK via the service port and we seem to have most functions except for FlexPendant Viewer?

Is anyone able to post a screen dump of RobotStudio showing how to access the viewer?

PS. We are using RobotStudio Online RW 5.07.01.02

Hi

I think your robotware is to old to be able to use the flexpendant viewer. And I think the viewer requires the option PC Interface. You could also use RobotStudio (which now includes Online not a seperate product) where you have a virtual copy of the FlexPendant. Just download it from the ABB Site http://www.abb.com/product/us/9AAC111580.aspx

Some parts in RS needs a license after evaluation period.

Thanks for your help. We have got the latest RobotStudio and have now got Flexpendant Viewer. Unfortunately, it errors saying 'Flexpendant capture failed'
Searching through the forum I see that there have been issues when logged in as default user although this is apparently fixed.
I would like to log in as an administrator to set full permissions but I can not find any password or reference to obtaining passwords on the forum, manuals or ABB website.
We are almost there Can anyone assist?

The log in is in the User Authentication System (UAS) on the controller side. Which is described in the manual.
