External hardware - configuration question?

Hi All.
What is the recommended way of attaching external Devicenet Hardware to a controller in Robot Studio?
I have a Beckhoff 5250 with some IO, both analog and digital. I would like to create the system ( with robot and everything ) from scratch in RS and then put it to work again on the robot.
Is there a "smart" way to reconstruct the IO configuration from scratch having only the information about the hardware attached to the Beckhoff devicenet coupler? I would like to avoid configuring the IO manually as there is a lot of configuration to do.
Regards

Sofar no "Smart" way has been discovered, no EDS support and no .cfg export or similar from Beckhoff KS2000.
So it ended with a manual input of each IO.
A tip for people struggling is to use the EIO.cfg file from a backup, strip all things unnecessary, and then import it to the station needed.
If someone finds a great tool for going from EDS to RobotStudio .cfg files then please post some info in the Forum.
