Bug? tool visibility problem.

I have a couple of tools and would like to hide some of them, however it does not seem to have any effect. Is it my RS or is it a "feature" 
The tool icons in the Home->Paths&Targets get a little red thingy in the bottom right corner, but they are still visible.
