Smart component binding to analog output

What is needed for binding an analog output to a Smart Component ( Joint Mover for mechanism ) in order to use an analog output to control a smart component?
By the way
Since I am interested in the simulation scope of things, is there any way to hook up to Robot Studio from .NET (a door into the current RS session) and activate the smart components though some api?
Something like:
0. Connect to Robot Studio from "own" .NET code
1. Iterate smart components
2. Iterate component exposed properties
3. Manipulate these (from .NET)
Then it would not be necessary to do all the binding in RS - but have a piece of custom made code that could interact with RS.

Hi,RobotStudio installes a Visual Studio template for user created SmartComponent. Perhaps this can solve your problem.

After installing RS 5.13 the VS template for Smart Components is missing. Could you kindly upload the required VS template files?
Thank you!

Thank you! I did some modifications and it works now with VS 2010.
