Keeping Tool horizontal
in RobotStudio
Hello,
I've made a setup wit a Robot in a loading dock, the robot has a tool attached to it wich has to hold a plate horizontal all the time. But when I teach the robot the target points the tool does not keep level when I rotate the 4th link. Is there a way to set the last link horizontal permanently?
Here's a picture in case my explanation is not clear enough (the plate must stay horizontal all the time but has to be able to move vertically.)

You should create the targets in RobotStudio using the geometry, or create the targets by entering coordinates. Then you will be able to define the exact orientation of the targets. If you still want to teach the targets, you can modify their orientation afterwards in RobotStudio (or directly in the RAPID code).Henrik Berlin
