614-1 FTP and NFS client ...how to?
Hello guys!
I have encountered a problem this days, when I tried to write my application on the robot controller.
My application uses sockets....I am trying to send coordinates from LabView to RobotStudio, after some image processing. In software mode everything is fine.
But when I tried to add the instruction 'SocketCreate' using the robot flexpendant, I found out that this one is missing. I looked in 'SystemInfo->SystemProperties->ControlModule->Obtions' and I have noticed that the '614-1 FTP and NFS client' is not there.
My question is how should I do, to have this one there, in order to continue my work?
In RobotStudio is pretty easy but in reality I am sure that there are certain steps to follow it would be nice if you could provide me some solutions.
Thanks!

You need to obtain a new controller system key from ABB that contains the requested option. Please get in touch with your local ABB Robotics representative.
For RobotStudio, that can run virtual systems (that cannot be downloaded to a real, physical IRC5 robot controller) you can build a system with any option.Henrik Berlin

The robot controller option you need is PC Interface (616-1). This includes Socket Messaging. Socket Messaging has the Rapid Socket commands.

Hi!
Thanks, for your answer!
I also found this today, when I tried different options on a RobotStudio station.
Is there a structure with all this options and what modules and commands are included inside?
Thanks

I am not aware of any such overview. However, the RobotWare documentation DVD contains Application Manuals for all RobotWare options.Henrik Berlin

Hi guys! I have loaded the 616-1 PC - Interface option on the robot controller.
Then I start a new program, but still not found the Socket commands.
I have checked the robotware version on the robot controller and is: 5.07_xxx, do you think that on this version of robotware the Socket commands are not implemented under 616-1 PC - interface ?
Thanks
