What do you meen by: write alphabets? Does the robot have a pencil and has to draw the letters?

    Best regards
  • You should consider using some kind of CAD software to type the letters, export the curves (or surfaces) outlining the letters, import them into RobotStudio and use the "Create Path From Curve" or "Path from Edge" functions to generate the robot program.

  • thanks henrik..i will try that..

  • actually yeah., the end effector has a pen attached to it. i am to make the robot to do curves and write the letters. u got any suggestions..?

    thanks

  • Hi lilcuzi

I have a suggestions for a manual way.

You could create a body with the picture that contains the text in a JPG-File and create manualy targets.

    Create a big flat box:

    Modeling / Solid / Box

Right klick on the box an select: Graphic Appearance...

Under Textures / Base Texture you can select on ... the image file.

You can manualy go to the edge of the lettres and create targets. Then you can create paths with MoveL or MoveC for each lettre.

    Best regards

  • thanks marcel. i will do that. it should be the same with importing geometry from a CAD software e.g solidworks cad cam and then create the paths from curves already drawn on the solidworks
  • Dear Friend,

I also have the same problem. I do not know how to do to read an external file with the sequence of letters, or simple the user types the word to be written in the FlexPendent. Do you have a ready example, some tutorial or link on the web? I need to indicate which DAC should I use if it is even necessary. What help is welcome.

    Thanks, Adilson
