Bug???

Hello everybody!
I have a problem, and it seems to be a bug in RS...
I'd like to create a system with an IRB2600 (a virtual controller with a virtual key) containing the multitasking option.
If I start with system builder-new-etc. I am able to obtain a system in which I can add or edit tasks, but I find always IRB140 even if I select Drive system 04 2006/4400 as drive module configuration. This is what appears in system proprieties at the end of procedure (and the robot inserted in the station is actually an IRB140):
ABB standard manipulator
Drive System 04
2600/4400
IRB 140 Type A
So I tried starting with another approach: I created a system with IRB2600 standard from template and I tried to modify it, so I added multitasking option: at the and of procedure I read
ABB standard manipulator
Drive System '04, 2600/4400
IRB 2600
and
Options:
...
623-1 Multitasking
..so everything seems to be ok (now the robot is actually an IRB2600), but when I try to add a new task from the control panel, all the options "add task", "edit task" etc. appear unselectable (they all are grey), so I can't reach my goal.
Any similar problem?? Any solution for me??

In your first approach using the System Builder, it seems that you have failed to select the correct Manipulator type. Note that you must select both the manipulator type and the drive unit for the selected robot. If you fail to select matching manipulator type and drive system, the system will end up in SysFail if you are lucky. If you are un-lucky the system will start but will behave weird. You may get incorrect payload limits etc. If the system starts even though there is a mismatch, you will not be aware of the problem.Your second approach should work fine. But the fact the you cannot add a task indicates there is a problem with the system. Did you I-start the system after the modification to make the changes go through? Has it started up fine, or is it in SysFail? Check the Controller Status window and the Controller EventLog.I would recommend you to use the System From Layout option instead. Please see the attached pdf for instructions.Henrik Berlin

OK! thanks a lot!
As for my second approch, I restarted a couple of time and now it works.
I had never tried with abb library and then build system "from layout"..and it works!
..and I was wrong in associating IRB model with the drive as you supposed..so also my first approach now works!
thanks a lot
