Trace a path followed by a robot on a workobject

Hi everyone,
In a simulation that I am working on, a robot is supposed to cut an object in a specified pattern. With a given formula, the coordinates of all points in this pattern have been entered into a RAPID programme without a problem. However my client would like to visually highlight the points that the robot goes to on the workpiece itself (rather than in the world coordinate system because if that is the case, "Enable TCP trace" is good enough). Note that the workpiece is turned 360 degrees while the robot's manipulator only moves linearly. So if "Enable TCP trace" is used, all I will get is a straightline instead of a curvy pattern as rendered on the workpiece.
I have no idea whether this is at all possible in Robot Studio. Any take on this?
Thanks in advance!
