hi buddies,

i wanted to confirm if the create mechanism function is disabled in the 30 day trial of RS 5.13??

  • i tried creating a mechanism... but afte i defined the links and the joins... the next step wont come... to set the transitions n alll.. !!

    After links and joints you have to compile your mechanism. If you can not find the button you have to maximise mechanism box because there seems to miss a scrollbar in the right side of the window to scroll down to the compile button.
    Had same problem to find the compile button.

  • well... i got the button thanks... i was tryin to make a gantry mechanism.. X & Z... defined the links and the joints correctly... but when i click on compile... it gives an error.. i tried with external axis & device also.... but stil no luck.... pls help.... thanks...

    got the mail but in denmark we have hollyday so i'm working in my garden. Wink.

  • From the picture it seems as if the mechanism is defined as a Device. If you want to run it with the StandAlone Controller you should define it as a Robot. If you want to attach the robot to it and use it as an external axis you should define it as an External Axis. (Device should of course work, but may not be the right choice for you anyhow).

  • It will not be disabled. Maybe their is something wrong with the software. Try to download and re-install it.
