RobotStudio event

curve normal

Currently I am trying to setup a simple simulation in robotstudio 5.14 with a custom RAPID code. I am wondering if there is any way to let robotstudio fill in some of the arguments that are requiered for robtarget.

as you know, robtarget asks:
- an x y z position
- orientation of the TCP
- axis configuration
- external axis configuration.

It seems that for every target I want to setup, all the arguments have to be filled in properly. Now, when I try to setup a point 3000 mm in positive x direction away from the current position off the robot, the linear track is not solved automaticly neither the axis configuration. Is there a way to let robotstudio solve specific arguments for robtarget ?

Second, when I try to import a curve, how can I let the robot follow the normal of this curve?

thanks,

Ferdi

  • For the target, you can set the first target as UCS (User Coordinate System) and create a new one using the first as reference.  To define the eax value for the track, you can use the External Axis Interpolation feature of 5.14. The configurations can be defined using the AutoConfig feature.

For the curve you can use AutoPath to have RobotStudio create the path for you. The orientations can be adjusted in several ways, one option could be the Interpolate Path function.
