Feedback in Content Sharing

Hi, <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

We have just started a project to improve the Content Sharing. Our main focus will be on adding more contents to the website but we will also make some changes in the layout.

I would really appreciate your inputs about Content Sharing. What do you think about the current layout and its contents? Is it something that you would like to add or remove? All inputs are good inputs and your help will make Content Sharing more customized to your needs.

We have also start uploading new RobotStudio simulations on Content Sharing. Do you have your own simulations that you would like to upload? Please visit the webpage and just upload it or, if you want me to do it, send me an email/PM so I can upload it for you.

Thanks for your help!

Best regards,

  •  take a look at www.solidcomponents.com that's more like it.

  • Another suggestion!
The forum is great for Q&A but there isn't really a place where you can give feedback/wishes what you have seen using ABB Robotics Products. Well I'm a former ABB so I know people, but there is a lot of girls/guys out there with some great feedback that probably just disappear.

  • Per,

    Great suggestions!

One of our ideas is to create a forum like that, where you can give feedback and help us to improve.

  • Hi Per,

as Simon says we have an idea that you shall be able to not only give ratings to the content (like models, SmartComponents and Add-Ins), but also submit wishes. Content developers, can have a look and maybe there will be a match between someone who wants something and some one who wants to develop.

Did you think about a place to submit ideas for RobotStudio in general?

In that case, submitting and idea for Content Sharing should be not much different from submitting and idea to the RobotStudio team. So if we have done it once...

  • Hi Niklas
    Long time no see
Well I guess my idea is to seperate the forum(which is basically question based) and wishes/improvments in general.
Even if my heart is in RS I work with most of the products from Robotics now a days so I think it should be on robotics level.
Content sharing in my mind is more of sharing content among user and not feedback to ABB. And if you give a feedback it's also nice to see some comment about the idea.

Just thought's, no ideas how it would look like :-) but you never know what would end up in a old brain!!!

  • Hi Per,
hope I bump into you somewhere in Gothenburg this summer. It was at least one year since last time.

I agree with you. The idea sharing shall be separated from the forum.
On the content sharing we plan to have a function where you can ask for content you would like to see, but that message is not directed to ABB primarily, but to third party content developers.

The facelift of Content Sharing comes before Idea Storm in the time line, and we can learn from the Content Sharing "wishlist" when we implement Idea Storm.

I'm a bit curious about what can go on in the old mans brain. Wink Lets see.

But this thread is about Content Sharing so I stop my elaboration on Idea Storm. Good to know that you want to see an Idea Storm function on the RobotStudio web site.

    Have a nice weekend.
