Japanese conn problem

Had a problematic experience in Japan last week.
Scenario: A PC application generates rapid programs, uploads these to a ABB 140 Compact robot, and execution begins.
Everything works fine on English setup. Switched to Japanese locale to satisfy our customers needs, and then - standstill. The program refueses to start.
It ended after A? minutes of cheching of logfiles in pc app, robot code checking etc. that we swithced back to English PC locale, and the continued the approval with a remark.
I can not reproduce it on virtual robot in RS on my development laptop when swithcing to Japanese.
Can anyone comment / check that locale changing from EN to JP does not break pc sdk functionality on physical hw?
