Failed To Create System

Hello, After installing RS 14 to my new laptop (running windows 7), after being able to create systems using the installed media pools, RS now fails to create systems. The system builder create system starts ok, but then asks for the location of the media pools. After selecting the folder where they are located, RS simply states failed tocreate system. I have uninstalled both RS and the robotware, re-installed them, but the same problem occurs. Any ideas?

Have you tried to create systems with "System From Layout" instead of using "system builder"?Best regards,

Hi Anders, Thanks for the reply. Tried this just now, but this time robot studio states that the mediapool directory is invalid. Moved the directory out of the program files(x86) into the user directory, but still the same fault:- invalid directory

Hi all, Have managed to get it working by installing Robot Studio 13. After doing this, the media pools became visible and RS14 works ok. Will try uninstalling RS13 to make sure this was the fix, but seems strange that it works ok after doing the install.

Your trick does not work for me ...0

Hi CM, Sorry to hear that it didnt work for you. I also uninstalled net framework and all updates for it, then when i installed RS13, it installed the net framework again. I then let windows 7 update the framework stuff, and it still works. Might be worth a try.
