Old RobotWare Version

Hi

I am running RS 5.14.01

Some of our old clients are running robotware 5.10 on their controllers.

I was asked to make a change to one of the old programs, so I tried to create a system from a back-up (using the system builder) that we made of the customer's program two years ago.

Problem is, I don't have the proper robot ware code in my media pool.

Where can I get the old robot ware versions?

Thanks.

  • I've the same problem with RS 5.12 and RS 5.13 to create a system from backup, the problem is also with the robotware in mediapool.

  • The error that appears refers to following items.
I don't know if this helps.

    Additional Options<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

    3HEA-016-63433

  • Additional Option is an extra media pool (RW), which in your case has the name "3HEA-016-63433". Additional Option is for example used for positioners (external axes).
To create a Virtual Controller with this option, you need to have that media pool on your computer. The easiest way to get it, is to connect to the real robot and use "Go Offline". It is not sure that this option will work with a newer RW than it's used in the robot controller.

  • The problem with connecting to the real controller is that it is in Mississippi, and I'm in Ontario (1600km+)

Is there a way that you could make the old robotware code available for download, given that the user input a valid licence key?
  • Greetings

I've that problem also, but contacting the ABB tech that install the system in the plant through e-mail he sent a copy and it works fine.
I don't know if you contact some one from ABB if they could help you.
