Help...!!!
Hello Specialists,
I have worked with Abb for 4 years now, I can make operator windows, for this I am using instructions like :TPWrite str1. underneath eachother. Now the time has come to start with something new because ABB launched the IRC 5 with a new TPU colorscreen. In a few day's I will get a computer to install VirtualController and Robot Application Builder.
For our customer I want to create the following things with RAB:
- Error files on the FP with different error codes, help text together with the tool (Picture) and indication what the error causes. (Blinking button)
- A display with our company's logo in the background.
I have to report that I have no .Net experience. Is it possible for me to make the things I descriped above? Are there some examples availeble?
How quick can I learn .Net if that is the only solution..!!
Thanks for
your reply,

Hi
The documentation has some basic examples how to use the RAB library.
In Visual Studio .NET you can choose either C# or VB language. For a beginner VB is probably the easiest language to learn.
There are a lot of external companies that have training in C# and VB .NET
There is also a training on RAB in V?ster?s, Sweden.
The application you are thinking of should be fairly easy to develop. My suggestion if you are going to develop customer screens on the new FP is to learn either C#.NET or VB.NET and after that do the training on RAB in V?ster?s.
