Creating my own config files

Hello,
Is there any documentation out there about how to create or modify configuration files in order to suit different mechanisms?
I was hoping to be able to take an existing moc.cfg file and modify it to fit my needs.
For example, I would like to take a single robot, track, and L
positioner mediapool and use that to for a track with multiple axes.
