SC Tool

Hi. I'm new to robotStudio

I'm following the videotutorial (sc create tool). I'm OK with this one. Then I try to make a program using this tool and following the "getting started. create your first program" tutorial. When I go to the part when you create the targets, I want to use the "see tool on targets" feature, but it does'nt work, it's grayed out.

I thought that for this you had to use the "set as role" parameter on the smart component, but it doesn't work for me.

A?could anyone help me?

Hi,

Unfortunately does "view toool on target" not work when the tool is embedded in a Smart Component. The work around is to import only the tool again and let it be placed on the floor to use it for "view tool at target". "Set as role" makes the tooldata visible outside the SC, so you can use it for teach target, jump to target etc.
