IRC 5 not backing up

Hi all,

 

We are having an issue with one of our ABB IRC 5 controllers. When you create a back up (doesn't matter if you do it through robot studio or directly to usb memory) in task 1/progmod folder the back up module only shows the first 42 out of 1057 lines of code. The modules in the sysmod folder appear to be backing up correctly. It appears that everything was backing up correctly about two months ago and then something must've happened. I can see the module through robot studio, I just can't back it up. Has anyone ever experienced something like this before? How did you resolve the issue?

Is there any space left on the controller flash disk? I suppose there might be and issue if the disk becomes full during the backup. This should be handled by an error message, but you can always exclude this potential cause by checking. I guess that a temporary backup is stored on the flash disk even if you select to save on a USB stick or connected PC.

If this does not solve your problem, you should get in touch with your local ABB service representative that can help you log a RobDesk issues unless he/she can solve it for you.

Which RW version are you using? Before 5.10 there is a known backup problem.

We are using robotware 5.07.2064.02. Maybe we will get ABB in here to upgrade our robotware, thanks for your help
