Softmove feedback?
Hi,
Ive just been looking in to softmove with our ABB120. We use the arm to move test aparatus around, where normally we would need a load cell to measure forces. I am assuming that the loads encountared by the robot during a softmove setup are known to the robot in order to be able to set the compliancy, but is there any way to get at them to see what they are? It would perhaps mean we dont need to use a load cell any more and create a simpler test environment.

The SoftMove option allows you to set the stiffness of cartesian axises and a rotation axis. The stiffness is set as a percentage between most and least, ie: 0 - 100. There is no force feedback data that you can get from the robot.

Thats a shame but thanks anyway Jim
