Bending PP Improvement

Thee are difficulties using the Bending Power Pac that could use improvement.

1. Allow selection of stations that you want to use. Presently you must configure a tilter station or a measurement station even if the real world cell do not use these stations. It requires modifications to positions in the Bendware Rapid to overcome this.

 

2 If you are in the programming tab and while working in the Sequence, you discover that the press is out of position and you need to move it. After you move it and return to programming the sequence, you need to reverify the positioning sequence of all the other stations before you can redo the press. The change should be that the sequence for the press is all you need to change and not have to go back through the other unaffected stations.

 

3 The Bendware Application manual that comes with the Bending Power Pac is not up to date with the current Bendware routines. It is out of date.

 

4 No one is monitoring the Bending Power Pac forum. I have not received an answer to  post from a couple weeks ago.

 

Is this a good place to request this or should there be a PDD?

Hi James,

 

As a ABB employee, you should use the internal PDD database for this. In that way you will be able to  follow the progress and get the correct contact for the software.
