Colors in Bitmaps

Hi all,
I have a question about color pallets.
I added some ".Bmp" files to my RAB application. I set the color for the background of the bitmaps to the same values (determined with MS-Paint) that I used for the background that I use in my application . The image itself looks ok but the background looks pretty ugly because its kind of "scratched" - like emulating a color.
In VIRC5 everything is just fine but on FlexPendant I have the above problem.

Hi
What bit depth did you save your bitmap?
If you like saved it in 8 bit (256 color) you may loose color information depending on what colors you are using (MS paint usally warns you about that).Try another bit depth to see if it looks better. For backgrounds I would recommend gif format instead of bmp.

The 1st generation FlexPendant only displays 8-bit color, however the 2nd generation FP will feature 16-bit color. The 2nd generation device should be making its way into production units now or in the near future.Russell Drown0
