IRB120T for RobotStudio ?

Hi,

I don't have the IRB120T choice in RobotStudio, where can I get it ?

Thanks,

  • Quite easy. Use the system builder and create a controller as IRB120T

  • I have IRB120, but not IRB120T. I'm a beginner with RobotStudio. So I could open a IRB120 as a template and then modify its speed specifications somewhere to match the ones of the IRB120T ?

Is it available for the free version of RobotStudio ?

I don't know why IRB120T is not there while other "T" models are there.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Eric,

There will be a pre-defined controller system for the IRB 120T in the next version of RobotStudio coming in April, i.e. RobotStudio 5.15.01.

In the meanwhile you need to use the System Builder to create the system, see movie below.

  • Ok thanks and the simulated max joint speeds will be updated to IRB120T's max joint speeds ?
  • The motion control system of the VC is identical to that of the RC, (the same code is executing). The max joint speeds are the same both for VC and RC for a given robot model.

Note: Ensure that you select a matching drive system. If you fail to do so, you will get a System Failure if you are lucky, or wrong performance if you are unlucky. The movie includes selection of the drive system.
