Pickmaster status informations to elau plc
Hello everybody, I'm a complete new user to abb, I started working with a IRB360 FlexPicker and IRC5 controller and pickmaster software, so far, so good.
I was able to setup my vision system with a basler scout camera and started workng with a simple pick and place project, the robot is super fast and I'm really enjoying my time working with this system.
I would like to use pickmaster as a slave system, making it work beside an Elau PLC, I had no problem so far testing the tcp/ip RIS plug-in in order to start and stop the robot remotely via commands from the plc, and was able to send and receive digital signals via the profibus card installed in the controller cabinet.
I really would like to use such fieldbus system in order to read status informations and diagnostics from the controller of the robot, stuff like motor temperatures, reference positions, alarms and warnings, you know, stuff that usually pops up on the screen of an hmi system. The aim here is to incapsulate the whole system in a custom way.
I thought there would be some sort of variable like an integer or something that would map to an error code, so that I could map that variable to a profibus output and send it to the plc.
Is there any way to do such a thing? What would be the most simple way to do this?
Thanks all!
