You do not use the .EDS file directly to configure an EthernetIP slave connected the the master in the IRC5. Refere to the EthernetIP application manual to read the whole information... it should be part of the robot delivery.
A short break out: open the EDS file to get the needed information for creating a "Unit Type" in the IO configuration of the controller...
If done you may define your unit on the EthernetIP and then your signals on this unit...
