Safety system resetting robot

I am currently having problems with an IRB 6600 with an S4C controller. If the safety chain is tripped when it returns to a safe state the system resets. The pendant will turn off and back on displaying the starting up please wait dialogue.After this happens the EN chain will not come on. Please help.
