Simultaneous wired network access and service port connection on PC
in RobotStudio
Hello,
I am working with an IRC5 controller and connecting to it via the service port for communication between my PC and the controller. Another component of my code needs to connect to other hardware on my network, and right now I do that by connecting via wifi, since the ethernet port on my PC is used for the service port connection. I am working to reduce latencies of the system, and connecting to the hardware via wifi instead of a wired connection causes significant delays, so I would like to switch my setup to connect to the hardware via a wired connection. Is it possible, with additional network hardware such as a switch, to have a PC with a wired connection to the network and to the service port simultaneously? The problem I can see coming up is the fact that the IRC5 gives out IP addresses through it's dhcp, so simply trying to connect my PC to a switch along with the service port would not work. Is there a different way to do this sort of thing with the LAN ports on the controller or with some other hardware/network settings?
Thank you for any hints/information in advance!

You may use the LAN port of the IRC5 to connect with your PC, if the controller uses the "PC-Interface" option.
The LAN port uses a fix IP for the controller and you may setup your network like you want...

I use an ASUS WL-330gE for just that.
