Hello All,
I'm very new to robots. We have an ABB ARB120 as part of an automated test device. This was externally developed and supplied by a University partner.
Yesterday. the following message appeared, and I cannot clear it, and get the robot to resume working. The message shown on the Pendant reads
Error in T_ROB1
Robot Movement 1
Line 108
I keep trying to "acknowledge it, but the message reappears upon pressing of the "2" button. (the four buttons with dashes on them). An emergency stop button was pressed before this error displayed. The robot had completed its normal cycle and was in its "home" position when the emergency stop was pushed, so it wasn't mid routine as far as our measurement cycle is concerned.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Best regards
Gerard

Have you looked at "Line 108" in the program? The four pendent buttons are programmable, do you know what the II button is programmed to do?

Hello Soup,
Thanks for your reply. The guy who wrote the programme traced it. Of course, it was in line 108. I didnt know how to go about checking it at the time. We opened Robot Studio, and found an extra set of quotation marks in line 108 of Robot Movement 1, which seems to have caused this problem. We were wondering why it had never shown this error before. We also found a similar problem in "Robot Movement 2".
All better now, and thanks for your reply,
Gerard

Glad you figured it out.
You've probably already found it -- but the blue question mark in the upper right corner of RobotStudio has easy access to common manuals. Also, if you see some term you don't understand while looking through the code -- select it and press the F1 key and you'll be taken right to it in a manual. (This is also a good way to figure out if the term is default to RAPID or made up by your programmer.) Good luck sorting it all out.

Thank you. I think I will be getting more involved in the robot, and its programming over the next few months.
