CAD files with older robots

Hello!

We are thinking the use an old robot in a milling application. I would like to use the CAD files of the products for generating the paths to the robot. Can this be done with an IRB 1400 and S4 controller? If it's possible, how can I do that? Do I need Robotstudio or is there another ways?
