RobotStudio event

IRB-6400 120/2.4 Robot in RS 5.15.2

Does anybody know how to get a IRB-6400 120/2.4m reach robot in RobotStudio 5.15.2.  I need to do a reach check with that robot and I am looking for a way to get it imported.

  • It is not possible to simulate this robot in RobotStudio 5.15.02 since it cannot run with IRC5. You can use the newer IRB6400R 120/2.5m using stand alone controller but it is of course not identical.


    I have attached an old model for the IRB-6400 120/2.4m. You can import it into RobotStudio and use joint jog to get an idea of the reach. It is not possible to to use the reachability function or to jump to targets.


  • You could use the addin ZPExtendedMotion for jumping to targets and play paths

  • Thanks Per I will download it and try it out.  Are you going to compile this for 64-bit?  Now that RS 5.60 is out and you can make 64-bit addons.


    Jonathan how did you get the library of the robot.  Did you go into the old RobotStudio 4.0 and export the robot library?

    At least I will make it work on 64-bit(haven't tried yet) have already compiled it for 5.60(32-bit) but haven't uploaded it to RobotApps yet.
