Detect USB Drive
is there a way to detect if there is a USB drive inserted into the Controllers computer.
I would like to check if a usb drive is attached and if yes create a file on the usb drive, but if no create the file in the home directory of the hard drive.
thanks

Probably you figured it out a long time ago, but it's good to have an answer just in case someone needs a refresher ...
On the Teach/Flex Pendant, under ABB logo / open Flex Pendant Explorer - bottom center of the screen you'll find the option "Move Up" (blue marking in the picture) which allows you to go back until you can see all the active drives in the Controller cabinet.
As yo can see in the following the Flex Pendant will show you which one are the USB drives in use @ that moment (if any).
You have 3 options when it comes to connect a USB drive to the robot:- On the bottom left of the Flex Pendant (protected by a rubber cover) - Port 1
- Inside the cabinet are 2 USB ports also (Port 3 and 4 in general)

BTW ...forgot to mention that:
- /hd0a - hard drive of the pendant
- /ram - HD of the robot computer inside the cabinet
