RS 5.60 Auto Config much too slow

Does anyone know if the auto configuration speed in RS can be altered? Since upgrading from 5.15 to 5.60 the auto configuration is far slower than previous versions. This matters to me because I have a 4 mm stepped tool path across my entire part and it now takes 4x as long to configure. Does anyone know another way around this? Any help appreciated.
