Changing safe position

Hey, I had to get back to taking care of IRB 2400L - company I used to work for contacted me lately, and asked if I could help them set the robot up since it was not put to use for more than six months. Of course I encountered a lot of problems with stop circuits, battery voltage etc. yet I am more concerned about robot's safe position. I restored last working backup, updated revolution counters, but starting any serious labour (which of course requires the robot to go to safe pos) appears to be impossible, since going to current safe pos would result in some serious collision. My question is - how can I change parameters of safe pos? I know this does not appear to be complicated, but I was out of working with that stuff for a while.
