Create Station from Backup of real controller

Hi,

I got a backup of a real controller/ robot station. It contains the folders
- BACKINFO
- HOME
- RAPID
- SYSPAR

How do I create a station in Robotstudio from this backup?

I especially need automatically the right virtual controller selected, the right configuration of the digital I/Os and the conveyor tracking card, all saved Workobject and Tools, etc. I want to build up a simulation, programm and modify all the stuff offline and later on sync the RAPID programm and the modified Workobjects back to the real controller.

hello,

you first have to make a new system by going to "controller" tab and then choose "system builder".

Then opens a window where you can choose "create from backup"

once you have created your robot system, you can choose in "file" tab "station with existing system", where you have to select your new made system earlier.

Maybe you have to do a backup restore afterwards when your station has started to load existing programs into robot.

thanks a lot, it worked almost good :-)

I got two problems:
i) there's an event log: 112603 - Failed to access the config files
ii) an window: "The library of the type 'Conveyor' for the mechanical unit 'CNV1' in robot system 'System_from_backup' is not defined. You must manually search for the library.

is i) connected to ii)? Does ii) mean that just the geometry/CAD file of the conveyor is missing or that the whole setup of the conveyor tracking card is not properly included?

You need to create the mechanical unit for the conveyor then save it as a library, then when you build your system and you get the above message show RS where you saved the library.

OK, thanks! I will create it tomorrow.

Next problem: all digital I/O are not available? Have I probably made something wrong while creating the station from backup?
