calibrate conveyor base coordinate frame without synchronization switch
in RobotStudio
Hi,
i try to calibrate base frame of a conveyor belt. Because I try to use an vision control system I have no synchr. switch installed. The only problem is the first point of the calibration where I have to move an object to the synchronization switch.
Is there a way to calibrate the conveyor base frame without a synchr. switch installed?

If you with your vision system can take a picture manually I recommend you put a paper with a reference on it that you can use for defining the baseframe. Depending on what vision system you are using you probably need to measure the reference position relative to the camera zero position and compensate in the vision system for this togheter with pixel/mm. The you can just run the convyor into the robot area and define the baseframe of the conveyour using normal baseframe calibration. Be aware of that the conveyor calibration must have been done before (no of pulses/meter).Per Svensson
