Creating an offline simulation

I'm trying to create a simulation of an existing IRB4600 so I can simulate a modification to see if it's possible. It uses the old robotware version 5.13_2055 and I have the latest robotstudio and robotware. When I use the "go offline" feature and try to save the station RS crashes. When I try to create a new station and restore from backup it says version not correct. What would be the best approach to doing this as I have been trying to find the old robotware version on the ABB site but pretty sure only the latests are one there.

Have you tried to use the function create system from backup (using system builder)? and after that restore your backupPer Svensson

The latest RobotStudio comes with RobotWare 5.61.02. RobotWare 5.6x.xx is not compatible with RW 5.15 and older, that´s the reason to your problem. The solution is to download RobotWare 5.15.08 from: http://new.abb.com/products/robotics/robotstudio/downloads, because that version is compatible with your 5.13.2055 backup.

You could also try to "Migrate a backup". This option comes with robotstudio and lets you migrate the robotware version of a backup to another. For instance, your backup has robotware 3, but you need version 5.You use Migrage Backup to migrate the backup to robotware version 5.That should work aswell.0
