Adding options to Virtual controller
in RobotStudio
Hi everyone,
I'm working on a station with IRB660 robot and virtual controller, created form a backup of a real station installed months ago.
I'm developing the new station but in the new configuration we will change a communication bus.
When I try to edit the system configuration with system builder, I can only choose among the options of the old "real" controller, and I cannot change its key to a virtual one.
I also tried creating a new controller and importing cfg files but something goes wrong and I always get a System Failure Error and a Motion Configuration error on Joint4.
However, Is there a way to add options to a virtual controller created from backups?
Any "virtual option key"?
Thanks a log,
Gabriele

Hi Gabriele,No there is no "virtual option key". You need to create a new system with a virtual key to be able to add new options. But that system will of course not be possible to download to a real robot controller.I recommend you to contact your local ABB office for support if you have problem to get the new virtual system to work correct.Regards,AndersBest regards,
