How to link station with controller

I was creating a station and somehow ended up with my virtual controller not being linked to my station in any way. The way to overcome this was to delete my model robot and virtual controller and add a system with existing controller. Is there a more approved way of doing this??

When you start an existing controller you have the possibility to choose an existing library in the station. In that way at least you don't have to delete the robot modelPer Svensson

I am wondering why when I have 2 libraries in the station already of a robot and a positionner, choosing this option to add an existing virtual controller then use the existing libraries in the station always makes robotstudio adapt the position of the positioner back to the origin. I don't get why it does not take the values of the mechanism in the station?0
