Signals not available

Hi,
I'm trying to use "Insert Action Instruction" in order to start a robot movement when a signal sets to 1 but I have the problem that signals doesn't appear.
I set "WaitDI Default" at Instruction Templates but on the Signal I can only choose between "edge, high and low". Shouldn't the different signals appear here?
In fact, I have a smartcomponent with a digital output. I created a digital input in the robot controller and linked the digital output of the SC to the digital input of the robot. Shouldn't this be done this way?
Furthermore, even in RAPID when I try to use the "WaitDI" or "WaitDO" function it shows no signals.
I am using the last version of RobotStudio and RobotWare (6.00.01).
Does somebody know the solution to this problem?
I highly appreciate your help.

Hi,
It looks like the digital input signal in the robot controller not is configured correctly.I have attached a zip file with an EIO.cfg file with one digital input and one digital output for RW 6. There is also a picture so you can see how you load the file into the controller.Good luck!//AndersBest regards,

Hi, I am using RobotStudio 6.0 and I have almost the same problem. I cannot see the DI switching on during a simulation; this signal belongs to a smart component. In signal&connection window and in design tab the SC, an attacher, seems to be correctly linked with a DO and a DI when executed. (See the three pictures attached). I tried to load the file EIO suggested without success. Can you please tell me what is wrong or what I'm forgetting? Thank you for your help, Valerio.0

I understood my problem. I was expecting a constant output but the attachers give only a pulse signal. Probably due for this reason I can't see the signal changing. In RAPID I changed the command WaitUntil with WaitDI and now it works. However, do you know if there is the possibility to get constant output signal from an SC like Attacher and PoseMover? Thank you for your help, Valerio.0

If you want a constant signal yoú can use a LogicSRLatch connected to itPer Svensson
