Zero Zone Problem

Hello One of our flexpendant has a problem and message says “The joystick test of its zero zone at start-up indicates a problem. The joystick has been disabled. To re-enable the joystick the system must be restarted. If the error remains, the FlexPendent must be replaced because of joystick problem.” I restarted controller a few times but problem still remain. Finally I changed with new one. So what had happend to our flexpendant? What should we do to prevent this fault? I had lived same problem before. When I wait a few days after detached flexpendant from controller; problem had disappaered. THANKS
