No , but you can use an empty part and create a 'dummy' link to get the same effect. See attachment.Johannes Weiman

Hi Johannes,
I've just come across this post. I'm trying to create a tool mechanism that will have 3 joints, using the same parts in 2 of them. I have realized I cannot use the same parts and compile the mechanism. I think using a 'dummy part' like you suggested here may fix my problem. I'm unsure how to create this dummy part, after opening your zip file i can see your 3 components, your two cubes and another dummy cube. How do you create a dummy part? or is it just a normal part? however i cannot see the properties of it etc
