Virtual flexpendant switching to auto

Hi, Currently when you make a update to the rapid program in RS, the virtual flexpendant is always switching back to automatic. Can this be disabled? Thanks!

    I never considered this a "bug" but calling a "feature" is puzzling. If I have the controller in Manual mode it's because I want it in Manual mode -- could you explain how automatically flipping into Auto is considered a feature?

    Hi,
    it's called a feature, because in former RS versions you had to Switch to Auto manually. Otherwise RS crashed after updating the RAPID code :#
    I think it's necessary to switch to Auto to get write success to the VC.

    However, as I asked for it a few months (or years?) ago, my proposal would be to create a new button at the virtual teach pendent (i.e. like the "Hold To Run" button). With this one can switch to Manual mode (or Manual Full Speed), disable and enable the dead man switch and set override to 100% with just one mouse click. Because this mouse clicking marathon is what I'm doing the half day of my work.

    It is a very annoying "feature".  Change one variable, apply, and right back into automatic mode.  Five extra mouse clicks later, and I am back into manual mode like I wished it to stay.
