Activationg new license?

My RS license is due to expire in 6 days, I have a new key ready to but If I activate it now will that license start now or will it start when the old one expires??

    The start and end date of a license key is tied to your subscription agreement, not the key itself.

    So when your key was generated that info was set in the database. So changing the old key for a new key can be done as soon as possible.

    That's strange, I activated my new key with one day left on the old one and the expiry date changed to 365 days, not 366?

    Also my colleague activated his 2 weeks after we received them (so his old one expired a week ago) as he was on holiday and he has 365 days remaining......

    So from our recent experience the keys last 365 from the day they were activated, irrespective of any old licenses.....

    Hello,
    I also just renewed my license, the key was issued back in march 2015, but i only activated it today because my old subscription stopped some days ago, and my 365 days starts today, so i agree that the 365 days starts from the day you activate your key.
