Smart Component Gripper doesn't work.
Hello,
I built a station which picks and places a box with vacuum gripper. I added and connected all necessary components to the gripper. However, the gripper doesn't pick the part when RAPID program is executed. I don't know why. Can anybody help with?

Hi,
For the smart components to work you have to use the simulation controls (on the simulation tab) not run the RAPID directly.

Hi,
Yes, I know. I've done simulation setup and station logic. And then I started the simulation test by clicking 'Play' on simulation tab menu. I wonder if I missed anything while creating smart component and connecting I/O signals to the gripper.

Hi,
When I run the simulation, the line sensor detects the tool geometry instead of the box. You can fix this by making the tool undetectable:
