ABB arm and M94A controller for carving polystyrene enquiry

I am offered an ABB arm and M94A controller. Is the 94A suitable for carving complex 3D forms in polystyrene?
I wish to supplement my conventional 3 axis CNC with a machine able to deal with undercuts etc but i'm concerned that some of the older ABB controllers may not have enough memory for the lookahead. Any opinion on the 94A.
