Error overwriting files in HOME directory
Hello!
I have a 6640 Robot with an IRC5 controller. 5.15.2005.02
I'm attempting to perform a mass edit on all of the programs in the HOME folder. I do this by taking a current back up of all the files from the controller with a USB drive. Then, I bring that USB drive up to my PC and use ultra edit to change/update what I need. After I perform and save my changes on the USB, I go back to the controller and paste over (or over-write) the HOME folder on the controller with the HOME folder I edited.
We have two other IRC5 controllers and two S4C+ controllers that I do this with on a regular basis. But this newest controller of ours will not allow me to copy and paste a file from my USB to the hard drive if it has to over-write an existing file. I have no problems creating NEW files and programs or editing the programs from the teach pendant... but I am unable to copy and paste over existing files.
The only error message I get says, "Unable to perform the requested action". It does not give a reason or an error number to look up. This message comes up if I try to replace the entire HOME directory or when I try to replace a single pre-existing program file. (I tried with one file currently loaded and one with one file that was not currently loaded)
If anyone has seen this error before or knows how to work around it, please let me know!
Thank you for any and all suggestions!
